The ability to add a contact email to a student account will assist in instances where the Single Sign-On email is not a true email address.
How to add a preferred contact email to a current student account via Import:
1. From the Dashboard, navigate to Settings > User Management.
2. Click on the dropdown menu under Get report from search. Select Get user list. A file will be emailed to you with the current roster of student accounts and email addresses.
3. Add the student's email address to Column A (Username*). Add the student's preferred email to Column D (Contact Email).
4. Save the file. Return to the User Management tab. Click on the dropdown menu to the right of Import New User. Select Import Users.
5. Select the updated roster file to update under Select a file. Once the updated file is selected, click the green button Import Users. A green header will pop up indicating a successful roster file update.
How to add a preferred contact email to a current student account via Quick Add:
1. From the Dashboard, navigate to Settings > User Management.
2. Search for the student that you need to update the contact email for, and click on the three dot ellipses on the student card. Choose Edit User Details.
3. Locate the Contact Email field in the form that appears. Update the student's contact email address, then choose Save Edits at the bottom of the form.
4. A blue header will pop up, indicating a successful update.
No matter the method you choose, check your email for confirmation of the updated student(s). Be sure to check your SPAM folder.
Now, when you select Get Roster List, the student's preferred contact email will be displayed in Column D (Contact Email).
