A Fund Account is the top-level container for a pool of money (e.g., "Student Activity Fund"). All financial activity starts by creating a Fund Account.

Access Level: Student Org Admin, Administrator
This article is intended for users with Student Org Admin or Administrator access in Suitable. If you don’t have one of these roles, some of the steps outlined below may not be available in your account.
- Ineligible Roles: Student
- This is an administrative function and is not available to student users. It is only available for users with Org Admin or Student Org Admin permissions.
- You can create a main "root" Fund Account for your whole institution or create multiple root funds for different departments. You can also create child funds that are nested under a parent fund.
Setting Up a Fund Account
Step 1. Navigate to Finance from the main left-hand navigation menu.
Step 2. Click the plus (+) button in the upper right corner of the Finance page.

Step 3. A "Create new funding account" modal will appear. Fill in the required details, such as the account name and click Create.

- Upon successful creation, you will see a "Great success!" Modal. Your new Fund Account will now appear on the main Finance page.
- Your new Fund Account will now appear on the main Finance page.
