Adding Users to your Program via Roster Upload

Access Level: Administrator

This article is intended for users with Administrator access in Suitable. If you don’t have this role, some of the steps outlined below may not be available in your account.

Ineligible Roles: Student, Contributor, Advisor, Publisher

There are three ways to ensure students can access your program:

1. Student Data Feed
2. Quick Add
3. Manual upload process

This guide will provide instructions on how to add students through manual upload.  If you're interested in automating this process, please see our guide on the Student Data Feed.

• From the Dashboard, go to Settings > User Management > The arrow next to the 'Import New User' button > Import Users

• Click Download Import Template and open up the file.

• The required fields to import students are Username (non-alias email address), First Name, and Last Name.
  • The required fields to import any administrator level are Username, First Name, Last Name, and Access.
    • For Administrators, input: ROLE_TENANT_ADMIN
    • For Publishers, input: ROLE_TENANT_PUBLISHER
    • For Advisors, input: ROLE_TENANT_ADVISOR
    • For Contributors, input: ROLE_TENANT_CONTRIBUTOR
• Once you have provided the necessary information and any other data, you wish to include, save the file and import it into Suitable through User Management. 
• Under Import Users click 'Select File.' Once the file has been uploaded, click 'Import Users.'

• You will receive an email upon completion; this email will indicate how many student accounts were added and/or updated.
