Access Level: Publisher or Administrator
This article is intended for users with Publisher or Administrator access in Suitable. If you don’t have one of these roles, some of the steps outlined below may not be available in your account.
Ineligible Roles: Student, Contributor, Advisor
- To begin the process, please contact your representative from Suitable's University Success Team if you would like to add Qualtrics to your subscription.
- You must have access to a Qualtrics account with API Access.
- Your Suitable representative will walk you through the process, but this article will assist you in preparing for that walk-through.
- Surveys need to be created in Qualtrics first and Published to be used in Suitable.

Qualtrics Integration set-up:
You will need to gather your Qualtrics username, API URL, and Token from your Qualtrics account.
Step 1: Access Integration Settings
- Go to Settings in your Pathway.
- Scroll to the right and select the Integration tab.
Step 2: Copy Username from Qualtrics
- Log in to your Qualtrics account.
- Navigate to your Account Settings
3. Copy your Username.
4. Paste this Username into the Username field under the Qualtrics Integration section in Pathway.
Step 3: Find and enter API URL
- Also in account settings in Qualtrics, locate the datacenter ID.
- To create your API URL, in Suitable, use the following format: https://{yourdatacenterID}.qualtrics.com, replacing the bracketed values with your specific datacenter ID.
Step 4: Obtain and enter API Token
- In your Qualtrics account, locate the box marked as API and find the Token below it.
2. Copy the Token and paste it into the Token Field in Pathway.
Note If a token is not there, you may need to click "Generate Token.” If you do not have the access to generate a token, you will need to request Qualtrics API access from your University's IT Department or Qualtrics Administrator.
Step 5: Save Your Settings
- Once all three fields (Username, API URL, and Token) are filled in, click Add.
- A notification will appear at the top confirming the setup is complete.
