Editing and Deleting a Distribution List for Mobile Push Notifications

Access Level: Administrator

This article is intended for users with Administrator access in Suitable. If you don’t have this role, some of the steps outlined below may not be available in your account.

Ineligible Roles: Student, Contributor, Advisor, and Publisher

Keep in mind…

You are able to edit any Distribution List as needed. However, when you edit a list, all scheduled mobile push notifications attached to the list will automatically update with your newly updated distribution information.

Editing a Distribution List

1. Navigate to the Proper Tab

• For lists NOT attached to a scheduled notification: Go to the "Distributions Lists" tab.
• For lists that ARE attached to a scheduled notification: Go to the "Upcoming" tab.

2. Locate the List You Want to Edit

• From the "Distribution Lists" tab: Scroll down to "Created Distribution Lists," find the list you want to edit, and click the three dots on the right.
• From the "Upcoming" tab: Find the scheduled notification that uses the list, and click the three dots on the right.

3. Select "Edit Distribution List"

• In either area, choose "Edit Distribution List" from the drop-down menu.

4. Make Your Changes and Save

• Follow the same steps you used to create the original list to add or remove filters. Be sure to save your changes when you are finished.

Deleting a Distribution List

1. Delete a List NOT Attached to a Notification

1. Navigate to the "Distribution Lists" tab and scroll down to your created lists.
2. Click the three dots next to the list that you want to remove and select "Delete Distribution List." A confirmation message will appear.

2. Delete a List THAT IS Attached to a Notification

• You must first edit or delete the scheduled notification that uses the list.
• Once the list is no longer attached to any scheduled notifications, you can follow the steps above to delete it.
