Adding Attributes to Student Organization Profiles
To begin the process, please contact your representative from Suitable’s Client Success Team if you would like to add Student Organizations to your subscription.
Keep in mind…
- Attributes cannot be used for filtering the student organization directory at this time.
- Some functions of attributes are not functional for users without Workflows at this time.
- You will need to have institutional or student organization administrator access to add and apply new attributes.
Creating New Attributes for Student Organization Profiles
Step 1: From the Dashboard, click on the logo in the top left corner.

Step 2: Choose your pathway's Organization.

Step 3: Within the Organization, click on the 'Settings' tab.

Step 4: Next, click on the 'Attributes' tab. After selecting the 'Attributes' tab, select the "Create Attribute Category" button to begin.
Step 5: After selecting 'Create Attribute Category', you will be presented with an attribute builder.
- Enter a name for the attribute category. This is what you will reference to find the tags inside of the category.
- Under the name of the category, you can enter your tags one by one.
- To add multiple options under this category, select 'Add Tag'.
- You can also perform this action in bulk through the CSV editor after creating your attribute category.
Step 6: Next, decide if you want this attribute category to be used for organization tagging.
- This toggle should be set to 'Yes' if you want to use the tags in this attribute category for tagging organizations.
- This toggle should be set to 'No' if you want to use the tags in this attribute category for Workflows.
Step 7: After adding all tags, click 'Add Attribute Category' to save.
- Once the attribute is saved, you'll see it on the 'Attributes' tab.
- If the attribute category was set to "Yes" for organization tagging, you'll have additional management options, such as making the tag private.
- Tags within attribute categories that are made private will not be visible to students.
- Private tags should be used for administrative purposes.
- If you toggle the attribute to Private while editing the category, be sure to save changes at the top of the category.
